Treat Your Outsourcer As a Partner, Not an Adversary

Outsourcing is seen as an efficient way to offload non-core activities and save on costs, but many outsourcing contracts are entered into naively and are only successful through luck rather than judgment. Using an external lawyer, in addition to internal expertise, is beneficial, but the external source needs to have an extensive knowledge of outsourcing contracts--otherwise it’s the blind leading the blind.
