Following the Honeywell acquisition of POMS and the subsequent GE acquisition of Honeywell, news about Honeywell-POMS MES developments and new user accounts has been scarce. Although many of the original core Honeywell-POMS team have left, the new Honeywell-POMS team is closer to its goal of regrouping around MES, CMS, and related product extensions, such as eSpec, eKPI, and ePIC. Development activity is progressing with Honeywell-POMS's incorporation into Honeywell's Unified Manufacturing Solutions architecture, efforts to Web-enable information, and integration to major ERP systems, such as J.D. Edwards' World and Oracle's CPG. Honeywell-POMS's vertical focus continues to be Healthcare and CPG. In particular, Biotech has become a growth area as a result of a strong partnership with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, and several successfully completed large Biotech implementations. Biotech software requirements, such as specification management, inventory control of liquids, and recipe execution, have become a significant focus on development activities.
