U.S. Auto Must Fail To Survive

The U.S. Senate’s lack of action on the U.S. auto industry’s request for a $25B handout was the right move. Bailing this industry out won’t solve what ails Detroit. Forget about whether the misguided management or atavistic autoworkers union deserves it. The bigger problem is that a bailout won’t help the United States get better.
