Salesforce.com and SAP: A Tale of Two SaaS Strategies

My week began with a Sunday-morning trip to San Francisco for Dreamforce, salesforce.com’s annual customer conference. Two days later, I flew to JFK to attend SAP’s latest product launch at the Nokia Theatre in Manhattan. Although held three time zones apart, both events help to further software as a service (SaaS) as the dominant deployment model, especially for small and midsize businesses (SMBs).
