The View from Oracle OpenWorld

Oracle is rolling up its three main businesses—database and grid technologies, middleware, and applications—into the new Oracle Fusion Architecture (OFA). In January, Oracle unveiled Project Fusion, a plan to bring all of its own and acquired applications to a single code base by 2008. A few months ago, Oracle brought all of its middleware products under the Oracle Fusion Middleware umbrella. Now, it’s taking the next logical next step by adding databases, tools, and grid technologies to the broader architecture.
