SCOTTSDALE, AZ—May 28, 2009—AMR Research, the leading research firm focused on the global supply chain and supporting technologies, announced the winners of the 2009 AMR Research Leadership Awards. Companies are awarded for top performance in four categories: corporate social responsibility, supply chain innovation, sustainable leadership, and small-to-midsize company.
Since 2008, AMR Research has complemented the Supply Chain Top 25 with the Leadership Awards, which are designed to provide public recognition for excellence in specific disciplines within the broader topic of supply chain leadership that deserve recognition on their own merits.
The winners of the 2009 AMR Research Leadership Awards are:
Corporate Social Responsibility—This award is given to the manufacturer, retailer, or wholesaler/distributor that has led the way in incorporating socially responsible practices across the global supply chain.
Winner: Procter & Gamble
John Fontanella Supply Chain Innovation Award (formerly the Technology Leverage Award)—This award recognizes the company that displays superior abilities to use technology across the global supply chain. AMR Research named this award in memory of its beloved colleague, John Fontanella.
Winner: Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc.
Sustainable Leadership– This award recognizes companies that exhibit leadership in environmental practices across the global supply chain.
Winners: Dell (Operational Sustainable Performance), Hewlett-Packard (Sustainability and Innovation), and Better Place/Tririga (Clean Technology)
Small-to-Midsize Company–This award is given to a company that does not meet the revenue requirements for the Supply Chain Top 25, but demonstrates superior supply chain leadership.
Winner: Harris Corporation
