SAP Announces New Co-CEOs

On Sunday, February 7, 2010, SAP announced its Supervisory Board has chosen not to extend CEO Léo Apotheker's contract, naming Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe as co-CEOs instead. We don't expect these announcements to have any immediate impact on SAP customers, but do we hope that by the SAPPHIRE conference in mid-May, the company will be able to lay out a five-year product and technology plan that will both reassure long-time customers and generate excitement among new buyers.
