Research
Ian Finley brings a great depth of knowledge as a senior-level executive and investment professional with experience driving product strategy and engineering to his role as a vice president. Ian, a member of the Market Services team, focuses on IT management and SOA.
Ian has over 11 years of executive experience in enterprise application and infrastructure software companies. Ian was vice president of marketing for Formation Systems, a leading provider of PLM software to the process industries, prior to the company’s acquisition by Infor Global Solutions. He also ran product marketing for Open Market, the market-leading e-commerce software provider. Earlier in his career, Ian worked at Marcam Corporation.
In addition to his software industry experience, Ian has four years of experience as an investment professional. During this time, he helped found and operate Longworth Venture partners, a $140 million venture capital firm.
Over the course of his career, Ian has worked with a diverse range of manufacturing and retail companies, including Limited Brands, Coca Cola, AT&T, General Electric, and Walt Disney Corporation.
Ian earned his BA in computer science from Williams College.
