Resident in AMR Research’s European-based operation for more than 10 years, Nigel brings to AMR Research more than 34 years of extensive, hands-on experience in the application software, manufacturing, and distribution industries and has experience in international sales and service, product development, localization, systems analysis and programming, manufacturing, sales support, and channel and partner management.
His coverage areas include software industry ecosystems, enterprise applications strategy, strategic transformation of the office of the CFO, corporate social responsibility (including Environmental Management), and sensor-and-touch-based application solution strategies. Nigel is also a leading global analyst for AMR Research’s activities for small to midsize businesses.
Nigel joined AMR Research from Aspect Computing, an Australian application tools vendor. Previously Nigel was international product manager at Computer Associates responsible for all European manufacturing and financial applications product management. Prior to Computer Associates Nigel worked as international product marketing manager for Pansophic Systems and as partner manager for Mannesmann Information Systems.
Nigel’s core industry background stems from 14 years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing at MG Rover Group. Following a Business Technician apprenticeship, progressive production control management roles including management of new vehicle development, he spent four years as systems manager for Rover Cars Southern Operations, overseeing application development and systems management for all vehicle assembly and logistics operations.
