Biography
Research
After 4 years of receiving AMR Research advice as a client, Paul Lord has joined the company to lead research direction for the chemical and process industries. His research focus areas include transportation and inventory optimization, manufacturing, and supply chain excellence.
Paul brings 25 years of experience with three chemical companies—Air Products and Chemicals, ARCO Chemical and Lyondell Chemical—to his role as Research Director, Chemical/Process Industries. During this time, he spearheaded the implementation of supply chain principles for bulk chemicals to inventory strategy and cost reduction projects. Paul led the implementation of Sales and Operations planning (S&OP) and also managed commercial activities for a growing chemical product line for four years.
Paul earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Lehigh University and his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is certified in supply chain management (CSCP) from APICS and has completed training in Lean and Six Sigma.
